DivorceCare is a network of thousands of divorce recovery support groups meeting worldwide. The DivorceCare support group meets at Shelter Rock Church on Fridays at 7:30 pm with Barbara as faciltator. At each meeting, we watch a DVD, discuss the information presented, share our concerns, and end each session with a brief prayer by the group facilitator. Sessions run for 13 weeks on a rotating basis but you may join the group at anytime.

The DVD video series we are using, “DivorceCare,” is made up of 13 sessions that cover topics including “What's Happening to Me,” “Facing my Loneliness,” “Financial Survival,” "KidCare", and much more. While the series is intended to be viewed in sequence, you may join our group for any session you wish. Of course, regular attendance will provide the greatest opportunity for healing, learning, and sharing.

This group seeks to support each member in his or her coping with the issues that come from marital separation and/or divorce. It does not matter whether you are just separating, in the midst of a legal action, or several years past the actual divorce. Our goal is to help you find help for your hurts, discover hope for the future and experience God's healing.

Please note that this group seeks to create an atmosphere of comfort and safety and does NOT function as a meeting place for dating.There is no cost for DivorceCare. The workbook costs $15 (it's free if you cannot afford it); if you already have the workbook there is no further cost. You don't need to be a member of any particular church to join the group.
