The people of Shelter Rock Church have a wide variety of religious backgrounds, including many who have never been to church before. We don't look down on any person from any background who is seeking the Truth.
-
Our worship services are designed to meet people from a variety of backgrounds, but their purpose is the same. They are specifically designed to lead as many people as possible into a joyful and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
-
Our worship services are easy to follow. Everyone is asked to stand and sit at the same time, so you’ll never find yourself standing when everyone else is sitting, or sitting when everyone else is standing. All of the words to every song are projected and easy to read, and key points during the teaching time are often projected as well, so you'll never feel lost or left-out. We also have Bibles here at the church that are available for anyone to use.
-
Our worship services are always of a moderate length, so you can trust that we will you honor you and your family's time.
-
Our facilities are clean, modern and attractive. On top of this, you’ll find easy-to-follow signs conveniently located throughout the building so you won’t have to ask people things like, "Where’s the restroom?"
-
If you have an infant to 5-year-old, you’ll be pleased to know we have one of the cleanest, safest, well-run nurseries you’ll find anywhere on Long Island. This nursery is available during every worship service every Sunday.
-
We have an active children’s program designed to help your children feel loved and confident because they are a special creation of God and they’re loved by Him. Among our children’s programs are Sunday School (first service at both locations), Kid's Worship! (second service at both locations), Kidz Blast! (Friday nights, 7 pm during the school year) and Vacation Bible School, one week each summer.
-
We have a vibrant Jr. & Sr. High Student group with a wide range of groups and activities. Our goal is to help teenagers grow toward adulthood in a stable and mature manner. Through various weekly get-togethers, off-campus activities, missions trips and retreats, Jr. and Sr. highers can find God in an environment that is comfortable and fun.
-
Our Adult Bible Fellowships feature a variety of classes ranging from studies of various books of the Bible to the integration of spiritual truth into one’s marriage, family and workplace.
