The 3 'C's are how we fulfill our mission: “To lead as many people as possible into a joyful and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.all about having a joyful and growing relationship with Jesus Christ”. We like to think of them as a roadmap to experiencing a life-changing encounter with God. If you’re wondering about how to know God on a deeper level and how to get involved with what’s going on at Shelter Rock, we recommend you start with these three foundational practices.
How do the 3 'C's characterize the life of a Christian? Responding to God’s grace, we celebrate by thanking Him in worship. Reflecting His selfless love, we connect by sharing encouraging and compassionate relationships with one another. Following His example of mercy, we contribute by humbly serving our church, community, and world.
One final note – the Christian life is ultimately not about what we do, but about what God has done for us. These 3 'C's arise out of a deep and spiritual transformation that God enacts in our lives as a free gift. We receive this gift by believing that Jesus Christ died on a cross in our place and rose again to new life. The Bible demonstrates that the 3 'C's are vital and exciting first steps for those who have placed their hope in Christ.
