I love Shelter Rock Church, the team I work with, and the amazing people in the community. I'm married to Janine and we're the parents of three amazing daughters. I love hanging out with my family, laughing, eating pizza, writing, and rooting for the Mets. My professional career includes being a HS teacher, youth pastor, and lead pastor of a church my family started in Lower Manhattan. (I'd love to be a rock star but am grateful for creative outlets like Guitar Hero!) I grew up in NYC and CT before heading west for college.

My name is Tyler Rice and I'm the Student Ministries Director. I've been a Christian for all of my life but my faith wasn't my own until late high school/early college. I grew up in this church and it's youth group and started to volunteer with Young Life when I was a junior in high school. My first position as a volunteer was queuing up the music on this little boom box. When college rolled around I started to volunteer at the Campus Life junior high group which I loved. I started working at Shelter Rock Church in January 2007.

Snowboarding is my love. My days off and vacations in the winter, you'll usually find me on some mountain. I've been riding for about 9 years. I'm a big fan of the X-games like BMX, Motocross, skateboarding and roller blading. Mint Condition in Port Washington is my second home. That's where I feed my comic book interest. I've been collecting since I was 18. I'm a huge fan of X-men and Batman. My taste in music is crazy. I'm a fan of all (I emphasize all) but country (I also emphasize "all but country"...I really can't take it. Superman's got kryptonite, I got country music). Going to the movies and watching movies at home is my favorite pastime. I am proud to say I always win at any movie trivia games. Challenge me, I dare ya.

I'm Sweena Varghese and I will be serving the SRC Student Ministries team again this year. I served with Long Island Youth for Christ as area coordinator for Student Led Ministries for five years helping and growing student leaders in various schools across Nassau County. I am currently working at World Vision. I have been married to a wonderfully wise man named Joe for 7 years. We also serve on the worship team at Manhasset. I am praying that God will use me to assist and help Tyler and Greg in anyway possible. I'm excited for the new adventure and can’t wait to see what God has planned for SRC.
